Knowledge & Skills
Detailed functional knowledge of utility equipment specification, operation and maintenance ( compressed air systems, refrigeration systems,cooling towers, boilers/furnaces, pumping systems, water treatment systems, steam systems, heat transfer fluid systems, lighting, electrical systems etc. )
Strong and effective leadership capability: Ability to lead the site Utilities team and interface effectively with other functional departments, the site management team and corporate Technical resources.
Strong economic and critical thinking skills – ability to develop options and select the best one, based on company objectives, performance standards and risk tolerance
IT literate - minimum expectation is proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Excellent English speaking and writing skills.
Key Elements of role
Optimize Utilities performance - environmental compliance, energy efficiency, operating cost, reliability etc.
Identify Energy Intensity improvement opportunities and drive execution of projects ( ref. INVISTA corporate and China 12th 5YP goals )
Manage the site’s Energy program and ensure accurate and timely maintenance of scorecards and KPIs
Manage all Utility and Energy related Government Interactions - coordinate compilation, validation and submission of all routine and non-routine reports.
Interface with regional/global Energy Managers and global INVISTA OPEX Energy team to identify and leverage best practices and technologies.
Provide Engineering consultancy to ensure that world class Technology, best Operating and Maintenance practices, and Energy Intensity goals are considered during “Front End Loading” phases of new Capital projects.
