The rotating reliability engineer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining processes that enhance manufacturing efficiency and maximize plant productivity. The individual will use reliability analysis tools to determine opportunities, implement improvements, and optimize maintenance strategies.
The responsibilities of the position include but not limit:
·Utilize Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and in-plant studies to understand failures of rotating equipment and develop recommendations to prevent the failure happen again.
·Perform Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) study, develop and implement reliability strategies for rotating equipment
·Support projects through assistance with and development of specifications and participating in design review
·Analyze maintenance performance data and evaluate reliability processes to improve equipment uptime
·Provide mechanical and technical engineering support to plant operations to improve the reliability of equipment
·Perform and review rotating equipment health through Vibration Analysis.
Basic Requirements:
·Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
·Minimum 5 years of experience as Maintenance Engineer or Reliability Engineer in heavy industries such as Chemical, Refineries, Steel etc.
·2 - 3 years related experience in rotating equipment such as compressor, pump, blower/fan, mechanical seals, etc
·Understand rotating equipment design standards and principle and familiar with rotating equipment failure modes
·High degree of creative ability to solve problems, engineering and management skills, as well as ability to interact effectively with people at all levels
Additional Requirements:
·Knowledge and experience in reliability program/tools such as RCM, FMECA, RCA, Cycle cost analysis, Weibull analysis, etc.
·Good knowledge and experience in Preventive and Predictive Maintenance techniques and Program.
·Demonstrated experience in vibration analysis. A vibration analysis certification is an added advantage.
·Knowledge or Experience in project management, especially in rotating equipment standards and specification
·Knowledge in SAP system will be an added advantage
